Auto Glass Work, Sorted by Glass

Windshields, door glass and back glass are built differently and fail differently. Find the page for the glass that broke, or call now with the year, make, model and VIN.

Three facts sort most auto glass calls. A windshield is laminated safety glass bonded into the body with urethane, so a chip can often be filled, but a replacement means cutting the old glass out. Door and back windows are usually tempered and break into small pieces, so they are replaced, not repaired. And a windshield that carries a forward camera adds a calibration question after replacement.

The seven pages below follow that split. Two of them, camera calibration and insurance claims, are questions to settle before the glass work is booked: the vehicle maker's procedure decides the first, and your policy decides the second.
